How To Convince Your Wife To Get A Brazlian

MIDNIGHT JUGGERNAUTS

Midnight Juggernauts is a band of Melbourne, Australia , comprising Andrew Szekeres (guitar, vocals), Vincent Vendetta (vocals, keyboards) and Daniel Stricker (drums). Are "potential successors to the throne indie-dance," according to Andrew Drever (The Age magazine). It is difficult to define the sound of the band, because all instruments are played live through a series of samplers and various acoustic instruments can be classified as electro-pop rock, topped by the value of its galactic songs, avant-garde industrial Gothic electronically.

Following the publication of several 7 "vinyl 12" and limited edition EPs, they released their debut album Dystopia . After playing in festivals and tours throughout the world during 2007 and 2008, the band ended up working on their next album The crystal axis, released in mid-2010, followed by worldwide promotional tour. The group also owns the label Siberia Records through which to launch its own music and that of others, including Kirin J Callinan and Djanimals . They have remixed other groups such as The Presets , ! , Electric Six, Damn Arms , KIM and Dragonette, among others.

The band formed in 2004 by Vincent Vendetta and Andrew Szekeres, who met at school, starting to make their first steps on the guitar and drifting gradually experimenting with synthesizers and dance music. Were renamed, as they had done Ramones, themselves as Vincent Juggernaut and Andy Juggernaut . Unable to find a permanent drummer, they played their first concerts with part-time battery uniforms of military dictators. Later abandoned these costumes, where they were joined by drummer Daniel Strickers (who would call as Thunderfist ) in late 2006, from The Valentinos . In the first shows the band took on different names, the lyrical content changed show to show (even after acting in a Chinese restaurant, used the names of menu items in the lyrics of some songs).

After Midnight Juggernauts EP (2005), containing Raised by wolves, and EP Secrets of the Universe (2006), the band quickly began to gain fame in and out of Australia with the song Shadows , becoming a hit in clubs and on the Internet. It was originally released as a 12 "by the stamp Cutters and republished by Institubes in 2008 with a series of limited edition vinyl. This and other songs were also featured on many compilations as Leave them all of Modular , Kill your idols of FBI or of FabricLive.29 Cut Copy, and a collection of Christmas Institubes . It was in this collection of Christmas in the French Justice (who were also in the collection) listened to the band and stated that their new favorite band, then inviting them to go on a world tour with them.

In August 2007, Midnight Juggernauts released their debut album Dystopia in Australia through their own label Siberia a, debuting at number 24 on the ARIA charts . Although still not been published abroad, some of his songs were spreading in UK and U.S. through issues through publications on vinyl by different independent labels and several compilations, along with the support of other artists. Ratings received criticism not only in Australia , but U.S. and UK (before release) Dystopia indicating that it was a "high hammered with krautrock grooves, psychedelic flights of fancy synth melody and post- Justice", being even declared Album of the Year in 2007 by Pedro Winter in the journal XLR8R . At that time Midnight Juggernauts decided to sign a licensing agreement with EMI Records for his label Siberia Records . Besides Shadows, the album's singles were extracted Road to recovery , Into the galaxy and Tombstone.

In October 2007, the group was invited to tour with Justice by America, leaving his stamp on the CMJ Festival , and playing with ! , Holy Fuck and Klaxons about UK and Europe . returned to Australia to act on the main stage at Big Day Out Festival between concerts of bands like Rage Against The Machine , Björk and Arcade Fire .

Midnight Juggernauts Later they moved to a beach house on the east coast of Australia to work on new material, having collected a lot of ideas while they were on tour for the last two years. After experimenting with a wide range of analogue and new digital sound, a new batch of songs were written with a more progressive sound layered ambient. The band entered the studios with engineer Chris Moore ( TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah yeah , Yeasayer ) and began recording the new album.

Upon returning to Australia , the band (which autoprodujo his new album) returned to the studio to finish mixing the rest of the record.

2010 began with performances at festivals Falls, Big Day Out and Golden Plains. The band created The crystal axis (not just the name of the album, but a physical construction on the world that surrounds the disk) that developed (with all the synthesizers and recording instruments), with the help of artist Melbourne, Dylan Martorell lights and MPH. It also created a video about this construction, an idea of \u200b\u200bthe band performed with the aid of Krozm .
