Collins When you got for Christmas toy battery never thought that he would be born important interest in music. Phil was then 5 years and this would be the first of many toys that Collins buy for your child. Learned playing alongside television and radio and as no one taught him to read and write conventional musical notation, devised his own system. Later, his uncle Mark Wade he built a battery that Phil uilizaría regularly.

Her training began with 14, when he entered Barbara Speake Stage School . He began working as an actor and model, getting his first major role as Artful Dodger production of Oliver! . Also participate in The Beatles - A Hard Day's Night and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang . In 1969 (with Ronnie Caryl , Brian Chatton and Gordon "Flash" Smith ) recorded their only album Ark 2, inspired by the recent media interest on the moon. Not had much commercial success despite the positive reviews (Melody Maker featured him as the "Pop Album of the Month "). After a year on tour, tensions within the band and the lack of commercial success ended by dissolving the group. In 1970, a young Collins played percussion on the George Harrison song , The art of dying.

In 1970, Collins answered a classified ad in Melody Maker which sought to "... a sensitive battery of acoustic music, acoustic guitar and 12 string." The hearing was held at the home of Peter Gabriel's parents and consisted of playing some tracks from second album, Trespass (1970). As Collins arrived early, was able to memorize the parts by listening to others. A year later posted his third album, Nursery Cryme . Phil Collins be in charge of drums, percussion and vocals (lead vocals in For absent friends ) five years.

In 1974, while recording the album Genesis The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway , Brian Eno (credited in the album as Enossification by electronic vocal effects on the song Grand parade of lifeless packaging ) needed a battery for your album Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy) . Collins was sent in return to work of Eno in the band.

In 1975, Gabriel left the band to perform his solo projects. After the fruitless search for a replacement, Collins became the lead singer. The group recruited battery Yes and King Crimson , Bill Bruford for live performances, while Collins continued to play in sections of long duration. He was replaced by former band member of Frank Zappa , Chester Thompson, who usually accompany the group in live performance, while Collins, continued playing drums on all the studio recordings of the band. The first album from this new phase was A trick of the tail (1976), who finished third in the United lists Kingdom.

In March 1996, after 26 successful years with Genesis , Collins amicably decided to leave the training to devote more time to his solo career and his family.

Since 1981 he developed his solo career parallel to his work with Genesis after signing with Virgin Records. The dominant theme that was reflected by his first solo recordings, but never specifying in particular, was the breakup of his first marriage and his recent divorce. Two songs he wrote for the album Duke of Genesis , Please do not ask, and the Top 20 Misunderstanding, made reference to broken relationships. A year later participated in drums and vocals on the album side of Grace John Martyn, whose main theme was about a marriage breakdown. His first solo album, Face value (1981), reflected the bitterness that caused the breakup of his first marriage, with songs like If Leaving Me Is Easy and In the air tonight . This album is autobiographical and shows a deep sadness for the pain they caused their separation.

Collins made his solo debut, invited by the producer Martin Lewis in benefit concert Amnesty International , The Policeman's Other Ball in Theatre Royal in London in September 1981, performing two songs Face value, In the air tonight and The roof is leaking , with himself on piano. Face value was an international success in the lists of at least 7 countries, and managed to enter the Top 10 the Billboard 200 , achieving triple platinum in the U.S. . The song on the album included In the air tonight , I missed again and If Leaving Me Is Easy . In 1982, the member was ABBA, Frida in his solo album Something's Going On , whose single I know There's Something going on became a success.

Hello, I Must Be Going! (1982) was another album that gained great popularity and was taken from a single, You can not hurry love , which stood at the top of the charts in Britain. Some songs were related to marital problems with his first wife, as I do not care anymore and Do you know and do you care . Commenting on the obsessive use of letters about their personal experiences eentonces, said: "I had a wife, two children, two dogs, and the next day I had nothing. Thus many songs were written because I was under the influence of these emotional changes. "

Hello, I Must Be Going! He gave his first number 1 for his cover of You can not hurry love of The Supremes . The album went triple platinum in the U.S. , like its predecessor. You can not hurry love was his first Top 10 U.S. in , and the album went number 2 in the UK charts, remaining there for over a year.

Two years later Collins was on the third disc battery Peter Gabriel, Peter Gabriel III (often renamed Melt ), the first recording that uses the sound "gate reverb, which subsequently used in the song Intruder . Gabriel comment that "did not want any metal sound on the album" and asked to leave his dishes at home to concentrate on making the sound of your computer more powerful than usual. The studio engineer Hugh Padgham increased the power of drum sound using a microphone and through a signal processor. This allowed a reverb added to the battery that suddenly cut, decreasing progressively. The result was the reverberation of sound door that was a characteristic of Collins. It was the same sound as powerful battery used in songs like In the air tonight or Mama of Genesis and There's Something Going On Frida of .

Collins changed his musical style with the publication of the ballad Against all odds (take a look at me now) , which was the main theme film of the same name in 1984. This song is more pop and accessible to the radio stations became the first single of Collins in getting number 1 in the Billboard Hot 100 . A year later, Collins helped produce singer Earth, Wind & Fire , Phillip Bailey, in his debut album, Chinese Wall , collaborating with him on the track Easy lover . Collins participated in the Band Aid song , Do They Know It's Christmas On drums and singing.

Collins published his most famous album, No jacket required, in early 1985. Contains hits like Sussudio, One more night , Do not lose my number and Take me home, as well as lesser known and equally interesting Who said I Would and Only you know and I know . collaborate on the album Sting, Helen Terry and his ex-partner Genesis, Peter Gabriel in vocal accompaniment. He also recorded another hit, Separate Lives, a duet with Marilyn Martin , No. 1 in U.S. for the film White Nights . Collins got three number 1 in 1985, more than any other artist that year. No jacket required won the Grammy Award as Best Album of the Year .

No Jacket Required received criticism that the album was too low risk, despite its commercial success. Sussudio was accused of resembling 1999 of Prince, a position he denied ever Collins. However, the album was number 1 in U.S. and UK . In 1985, Collins was invited by Bob Geldof to act Live Aid. Collins was the only participant who appeared at the concert at Wembley Stadium and the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia . He performed first thing in Wembley solo and with Sting , and moved quickly to Concorde U.S., being able to perform again in solo and battery with Led Zeppelin and Eric Clapton in Philadelphia . Collins have two hits for movies with the singles Two hearts (1988) and groovy kind of love (1988), the latter for the soundtrack of the film in which he also played the role main Buster, theft century.

In 1989, Collins produced another successful album, ... But Seriously , with the anthemic anti-homeless, Another day in paradise with David Crosby in vocal accompaniment ( Collins later co-write, sing and would play the drums in the song Hero Crosby album 1993, Thousand Roads.) Another day in paradise got number 1 in the Billboard charts late 1989 and won a Grammy Award for Best Album of the Year (1990). ... But Seriously got number 1 on the U.S. charts. Other notable songs were Something Happened on the Way to Heaven (No. 4 in U.S. and 15 UK) Do you remember? (No. 4 in U.S. ) and I Wish It Would Rain Down with Eric Clapton on guitar (# 3 in U.S. and number 7 in the UK .) The songs against apartheid and in defense of the homeless demonstrated the political sensitivity of his songs, which continue in their jobs posteriors. Subsequently released a live album, Serious Hits ... Live!

discs sales Collins began to fall with the publication in 1993 of Both sides, a more experimental album, according to the statement by Collins , included songs "which were becoming so individual, so private, he did not want anyone else to participate in them. " With a sound less refined and less fast-paced songs, Both sides assumed a starting point significant. Collins not rely on backing musicians, performed all the vocal and instrumental in his private studio, and used rough vocal takes for their final product. The album was not well received by the radio. His first two singles were Both sides of the story and Everyday . Collins worked on the album with complete independence from his record, catching it by surprise when Collins gave them an album they did not know who was making.

Collins attempted a return to a more pop music Dance into the light , with critics like Entertainment Weekly magazine , who wrote "even Phil Collins must know that people are tired of Phil Collins " . The album included minor hits such as Dance into the light, and inspired by The Beatles , It's in your eyes . Even got to be gold in U.S. , sales were considerably lower than their previous work, despite its continuous and regular sold-out tours.

In 1996, Collins formed The Phil Collins Big Band . With Collins on drums, the band made several jazz-style versions of hits from Collins and Genesis . The Phil Collins Big Band toured in 1998, including a performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival . In 1999, the group released the CD A hot night in Paris , with versions of Invisible touch, Sussudio and The Los Endos Suite .

Some early successes Collins, as I missed again or If Leaving Me Is Easy were not included in the collection.

The next single Collins, 'll be in my heart , film Cartoon Disney, Tarzan , spent 19 weeks at No. 1 lists Billboard's Adult Contemporary , the first song that got it. The song won an Academy Award for Best Song . It was his third nomination in the category of composers, having achieved in 1985 and 1989. In addition to the composition of the soundtrack to the film alluded Tarzan (1999), did the same with that of Brother Bear , Both produced by the Disney .

In 2002 Collins published Testify. Most critics agree that it is their weakest album until then. Can not stop loving you (a cover of Leo Sayer ) was number 1 on the Adult Contemporary charts . Testify sold about 140 thousand copies in the U.S. until late 2002, and was promoted by a successful tour. That same year

Collins accepted an invitation to play the drums a concert celebrating the 50 anniversary the ascent to the throne of Queen Isabella II of England . In 2003 adds there his last solo tour, The First Final Farewell Tour , a twister referring to the many farewell tours of other popular artists. In 2006 he worked with Disney in the production of the musical to Broadway , Tarzan, which was criticized by different sign. In 2007 Collins met with fellow Genesis , Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford after 15 years of separation, for the tour American and European Turn It On Again: The Tour , playing at Live Earth in Wembley . It later released a DVD and a CD of the tour.

In an interview with The Times , Phil Collins, who recently reunited with Genesis and toured worldwide, announced his final retirement from the music scene. Said currently more interested in his collection Battle of the Alamo in music. Although it says it is possible that if there is a good offer, reintentaría, but meanwhile, just wants to rest.

In September 2009 the British newspaper The Mirror published a story in which Collins said "never again to play the drums anymore" due to a serious injury to his cervical vertebrae. However, the same Collins in a statement said everything about his health. His words were: "There is no drama about my 'disability' and play the drums. Somehow during the last tour Genesis I dislocated some vertebrae of the neck and that affected my hands. After a successful operation in the neck, my hands still can not work normally. Maybe in a year or so that changes, but for now I can not play drums or piano. I'm not in any state of 'distress', in life things happen. "

After several years of inactivity at the end of the tour with Genesis in 2007, Phil Collins returned to the scene with record company a new album which was released in September 2010. This new musical work Collins has the name Going back, in which Collins remakes of classic songs R & B Motown seal . How To Tighten A Sew In Weave

power to witness is in the interior.

Children, established in sakshi bhava is the true purpose of life. that supreme state of witnessing is the axis around which all life and the universe. You can work, using your mind and your intellect, you live in a house and have a family can take many family responsibilities and having to meet many professional duties, but only when you are established in sakshi bhava , in the true center, you can do anything without moving an inch from the center.

Our main problem is that we easily identify with all attitudes of mind. When we are angry we become the anger itself. The same applies to the fear, excitement, anxiety, pain and happiness . we become one with any emotion, either positive or negative. We identify with our masks.

When you

in a negative mood can be angry, and when you're relaxed, you feel full of peace and love toward others. Actually you should not identify with those moods, because they are transient. Imagine you have a home and family, and also a beautiful dog and a cat. If someone asked: "Who owns that house?", What would you answer? "It's my home." And you would say the same about your car, your family, your cat and your dog. They are all yours. However, you are not, or could identify with any of your belongings. They are different from you. The house is yours, but you are not the house. Your body is yours, but you are not the body. The same happens with your mind, your thoughts, your feelings and intellect. They're yours, but you're not part of them. 're the seer who sees through the eyes, you're the observer perceives the emotions, you are the thinker behind the thoughts, are the one who feels, thinks, sees, hears, tastes. Are the subject experimenter. Once you become the subject who is behind all things disappear all the differences and transcend everything.

The mind and thoughts come and go, are unrealistic and inconsistent, are ephemeral as the clouds of heaven and the waves. They can not affect your consciousness. Beyond the surface, your consciousness remains pure and intact. This Pure Consciousness, which is eternally aware of what's happening is the witness, the Sakshi of all things.

Settling in sakshi bhava is always remain conscious. Only be fully awake, fully aware, the state can be achieved sakshi bhava.

Learn to be what you want in life, but at the same time, learn the art of laying flat aware at all times. Sakshi bhava can be both a practical as a permanent state.

Clear Discharge When Erect

MAHA MANTRA. The song of liberation. Cycle

By AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada

Maha Mantra or Hare Krishna Mantra

This mantra has the power to awaken new Conci stra spiritual gum and raise the level of pure love. Pure love is the only solution to many problems of human existence that seemingly have no solution.

Where everything has been tried, now we invite you to seriously test this transcendental sound. I can repeat in meditation, recite or sing softly aloud. There are no rules or regulations for chanting this mantra.

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Hare Rama Hare

The meaning of this mantra is: Oh my Lord, please make me an instrument of your love.

To take initiation into the chanting of this Maha Mantra of a genuine spiritual master, you will get the highest benefit of human life.

Krishna resides in your heart. Call him and he will come to their aid.

Maha Mantra Meditation in the

The word mantra comes from two Sanskrit words: mana, which means mind and tra, which means free. In other words, a mantra is a sound vibration that helps to liberate our minds from the suffering and anxieties due to the influence material.

The mantra is a means to fix the mind, calm and send waves of peace and harmony. The mantras are usually drawn from sacred texts like the Vedas, the Upanishads and the Puranas. All the mantras and all processes for self-realization are encapsulated in the Maha Mantra Hare Krishn a. Moreover, the Lord Chaitanya established this mantra or chanting of the Holy Names of the Lord, as the process of self recommended for this age.

The advent of Lord Chaitanya, was predicted more than 5.000 years ago in the shastras (scriptures). Defined directly as an incarnation of Krishna, the yuga-avatara or incarnation {avatar} responsible for this was to reestablish the principles of dharma { religious duty that I take you to the self}).

The transcendental vibration is established by the chanting of Hare Krishna Maha Mantra is the sublime method for reviving our original consciousness. The song is a call to the Lord and His Spiritual Energy that will provide protection to the conditioned soul. Hare The word is the way to go to spiritual energy and words of Lord Krishna and Rama are forms of addressing the Lord Himself, the name Krishna means "all-attractive" and Rama means "the supreme pleasure or. " Therefore, the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra means

"OH! MY LORD supreme attraction, source of all pleasure, OH! SPIRITUAL POWER OF THE LORD PLEASE engage me AT YOUR SERVICE WITH DEVOTION "

The chanting of the Holy Name or Hare Krishna Maha Mantra can be done in two ways: One, whether silent, whisper or aloud, and collective or congregational singing, which can be sometimes accompanied with musical instruments. When is a personal meditation, chanting recommended Hare Krishna Maha Mantra in a string of 108 beads called japa (Pronounced yapa), made especially for this purpose. In each account is repeated in full the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra .

The Maha Mantra should be out very carefully and as written (except the letter H, which is pronounced as a soft J Hare). You must repeat the mantra over and over again. Let your mind bathe in the purifying vibrations emanating from Maha Mantra.

Repeat this Maha Mantra also has another advantage is that you can sing anywhere, at any time of day, riding the bus or in a plane. The only condition is faith to sing. When you have only 5 minutes or when you are sad or bored by something or someone, start to repeat the mantra aloud or mentally, if necessary, and immediately you will turn away from the noise and your thoughts will become more clear.

Chanting the holy name of Lord is not only an act of faith and hope, but also the act of connecting scientific of automatically linked with Absolute Substance. is for this contact, not just a matter of faith that one is purified. When there is contact between two substances, the substance is always greater influence on inferior substance, and that contact, the less substance assimilated and assumed the characteristics of the substance Superior. That is, singing the Holy Names of the Lord through contact assimilate sound the spiritual qualities of the Absolute Truth and these qualities are pure. In other words, chanting the holy name of God is attached directly to him and when one associates with God, becomes Divine qualities, and to be completely purified, one becomes a partner the Supreme Lord. The song of Hare Krishna Maha Mantra mainly gives us the following effects:

1. Clean Heart.

2. Turn off the fire of material existence in material consciousness transforming consciousness is spirituality.

3. It allows us to savor the taste at every step higher.

4. PREMA grants or Divine Love.

As living souls are spiritual in nature, at first we are God-conscious entities, but due to our relationship with material nature since time immemorial, our consciousness is now adulterated by the sensual atmosphere. The material atmosphere, which is that we are acting today, it is called Maya or illusion, Maya means "what is not." And what is illusion? We are all trying to be masters in this world, when in fact we are in the clutches of their strict laws. If a servant is artificially to imitate the all-powerful master, and ment is called illusion. We are trying to exploit the resources of material nature, but in fact, we are increasingly entangled in her complexities. Therefore, although we are engaged in an uphill struggle to win nature, we have become, however, dependent on it. This illusory struggle trying to exploit material nature can be stopped immediately if revival of our eternal Krishna consciousness. sing Hare Krishna is the transcendental process for restoring the original pure consciousness. By chanting this vibration can clean releasing fears and doubts of our hearts.

This chanting of mantra Hare Krishna is a sound vibration that emanates from the spiritual plane, and therefore surpasses all lower strata of consciousness, ie the sensual, mental and intellectual. Accordingly, it is necessary to understand the language of the mantra, nor need any mental speculation nor any intellectual adjustment for chanting this Maha Mantra. Everything spiritual is included, then comes the transcendental and therefore anyone can take the edge without requiring any previous quality.

The continuous repetition of Maha Mantra or exercise is a practice common in many spiritual frameworks: The shared communal feeling that characterizes the songs in chorus raises the level of awareness of participants and stimulates the formation of deep spiritual ties to the congregation. Both individuals and groups benefit from the act of singing, it elevates the mind to a level of devotion that the preparation for meditation.

What Should Your Cm Look Like Before Your Period

MIKE RUTHERFORD

Michael John Crawford Rutherford nucleotides ( Surrey, England , 1950) developed his interest in guitar from a very young age of 7, taught by her older sister Nicolette, who was the music of the moment , especially Elvis Presley . His parents bought him a guitar with 6 strings of nylon, and later would an electric guitar and formed his first band. The Chesters , with two friends from school.

In September 1964 he entered the prestigious English public school Charterhouse where Mike had problems in adapting to the rigidity and strict academic standards. In 1965, Mike ecsuela met at his companion Anthony ("Ant") Phillips, who, as Rutherford , also played guitar and shared the Mike interest in the music of bands like The Beatles, The Kinks and The Rolling Stones .

Phillips formed a new school band, The Anon with Rutherford and his fellow students Richard MacPhail , Rivers Job and Rob Tyrrell. Two years after The Anon and played in activities and school functions. In early 1967, The Anon joined forces with fellow students Tony Banks and Peter Gabriel , who recently performed together as The Garden Wall . They recorded some demos together with Peter Gabriel on drums and vocals, Tony Banks the piano, Anthony Phillips on guitar and Mike Rutherford on bass. After signing with Jonathan King and enroll in the group drummer Chris Stewart , Peter Gabriel focused on lead vocals and the band adopted the name Genesis .

After completion of recording the second album the group, Anthony Phillips left the band, allegedly by his stage fright in the increasingly crowded group's performances. Given the close relationship with Mike , his departure from Genesis was a blow for him, but the band continued looking for another guitarist for their training.

Rutherford was known for his use of 12-string guitar. A characteristic sound of older recordings and classic Genesis was double 12-string acoustic playing intertwined with that of Anthony Phillips , and later, Steve Hackett (sometimes also with keyboardist Tony Banks introduced into the mix). Later began to use a 12-string guitar and bass integrated into a single instrument with two heads, which became famous.

After the group's departure of guitarist Steve Hackett , Rutherford took the roles of guitarist in the study. During the tour would alternate between guitar and bass in the proceedings with the guitarist and bassist Daryl Stuermer . style Rutherford, was reminiscent of David Gilmour of , although less based on the blues, with frequent long tones and melodic, bending notes so plaintive, almost as if they were vocal lines. This resulted in single fit to introduce a vocal or creating soundscapes rather than striking samples of technical skill. Perhaps the best example of this style is the subject Abacab.

After the tour of 1978, Genesis made a break and its members started working on alternative projects and solo. Mike Rutherford used this period to write and record his first solo album, Smallcreep's day, based on a fiction book Peter Brown hustle. Rutherford enrolled in their training to the producer and engineer Genesis , David Hentschel , and a cast of musicians that included Anthony Phillips on keyboards, Noel McCalla ( Manfred Mann's Earth Band) on vocals, and a decent rhythm section Simon Phillips on drums and Morris Pert on percussion, and Rutherford on guitar and bass, as he had done in the previous album of Genesis , ... And Then There Were Three ... The album was released in February 1980 by Charisma Records and reached number 13 in the UK charts. Smallcreep's day was published in the U.S. by Passport Records and reached number 163 in the list of that country. Despite some good reviews, the two singles from the album, Working in line and Time and time again , got no commercial success. After the publication

Three sides live, Genesis made another little break, and Mike Rutherford took the opportunity to sign a solo deal with WEA in Europe and its subsidiary Atlantic Records in the U.S. . In 1982, Rutherford released his second solo album, Acting very strange, which included songs he had written some time ago but never had previously published. The project had Noel McCalla again accompanied on vocals, guitarist toured with Genesis , Daryl Stuermer on guitar, drummer of The Police , Stewart Copeland, Peter Robinson on keyboards, and other respected musicians. Rutherford decided to make the main vocal, which later admitted it was not a good choice.

Although Smallcreep's day was an album that sounded more progressive rock Acting very strange was more directed towards the pop / rock and met with mixed reviews. The Halfway There singles , Maxine and Acting very strange had no commercial impact.

In 1985, Rutherford was in search of musicians for a yet unnamed project, which initially called Not Now Bernard . In the recording sessions appeared compositions written by him and songwriters Neil Christopher and BA Robertson . Eventually renamed Mike & The Mechanics suggestion of his manager Tony Smith in the band collaborated vocalist Paul Carrack several songs like Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground) that reached number 6 on the Billboard . As a result of the success of his album Mike & The Mecanics , Rutherford asked the vocalists Paul Carrack and former Sad Café, Paul Young , to accompany him on tour promotion, along with keyboardist Adrian Lee and drummer Peter Van Hooke .

In 1986, Mike and the Mechanics had already toured the U.S. with The Miracle Tour, and had released two singles, significantly All I need is a miracle , which peaked No. 5 on the Billboard charts . The debut album The Mechanics, Mike + The Mechanics had sold over 500 thousand copies, and won a gold in the U.S. the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA ), making the number 26 on the Billboard album charts . Through The Mechanics , Rutherford reached commercial success, even to compete with his other band, Genesis . After the tour The Mechanics, Mike Rutherford returned to the studio with Phil Collins and Tony Banks to start work in the sixteenth album Genesis , The invisible touch.

In 1988, then the massive success of the album The invisible touch and his book tour, Mike Rutherford returned to the studio to record a new album with Mike and The Mechanics , The living years. As the first album with Mechanics seemed more a pretext for a solo career a real band, with the majority of new music written by Chris Neil , BA Robertson and Mike same . One of the few exceptions was Black and blue, which was actually a song from recording sessions The invisible touch of Genesis, and in collaborating Phil Collins and Tony Banks . The musicians who participated in this second draft of the Mechanics included Paul Carrack, Paul Young , Peter Van Hooke and Adrian Lee, all of whom played a significant role in the success of the album and subsequent tour.

Although her first single, Nobody's perfect (composed Paul Young, who was also named number 63 on the list Billboard ) had a lukewarm reception, the next single became the biggest success story of the Mechanics . The song, written by Mike Rutherford and BA Robertson on the recent loss of his parents, he regrets the things left undone in that moment, shook Paul Carrack, who had lost his father at an early age early. The end result Living years, which soared to No. 1 lists of Billboard U.S. .

Successful Living years led to the album to number 13 Billboard lists in U.S. and win a nomination for the Grammy awards by The song of the year. As the third single from the album, Seeing is Believing reached number 62 on the U.S. charts, the recognition achieved by Living years and the popularity of the group they represented a successful world tour in 1989. Also on the disc include Nobody knows and Why me? , and credits include the choirs of King's House .

In the latter part of the tour Living Years Tour, the band played its version of Revolution of The Beatles that had made months prior to the soundtrack from the movie Cheech and Chong , Rude awakening. Following the album Living years, published his first anthology video A closer look , which was showing scenes behind the scenes and videos of their first two albums. The video was released on VHS and laserdisc, but so far has not come out on DVD.

quickly became The Mechanics the studio to begin work on their third project. With the same musicians plus an additional talent as study Tim Renwick (who had previously toured with Mechanics) Word of mouth , began to be developed. However, the project was not without its share of difficulties and unforeseen delays. The band members Paul Young and Paul Carrack demanded more equality in the compositions of Mechanics , believing they were in their full right to enter more in the creative process, which composition control of Mike was relaxed. Mike also had the producer Russ Titelman , but left after four months of sessions, by mutual decision, and that their contributions were not what Mike was looking for.

To make matters more complicated, the session was delayed due to illness and other personal issues that hindered the implementation of the project. With all these problems, Mike Rutherford was forced to leave the project of Mechanics after recording Word of mouth to return to work on a new album by Genesis, causing unrest in the rest of the group, expected to a promotional tour of Word of mouth. Ultimately, this situation led to the departure of the group's keyboardist Adrian Lee , and later drummer Peter Van Hooke .

The album Word of mouth did not get the commercial success of its two predecessors, peaking at number 107 on the Billboard American. Word of mouth only managed to reach number 78 of Billboard singles chart. The following singles like the catchy pop Everybody gets a second chance and the soft ballad Stop baby did not get jobs relevant lists. Whether due to the sudden popularity of grunge rock music of groups like Nirvana and Alice in Chains , or the mere fact that the album did not get the support necessary at the end, the project was considered a great disappointment on all fronts, despite the minor success of the single Word of mouth in Europe .

In 1993, Genesis gathered to perform at a benefit concert co-organized by Michael Rutherford in England . For this event, Genesis acted with the legendary Pink Floyd , which would be the last performance of Phil Collins with Genesis to the public. Before the concert, Phil Collins informed Tony Banks and Michael Rutherford his personal life, his solo career and alternative projects had been very difficult to manage due to commitments with the band, so let his duties as drummer and singer. Tony Banks Phil Collins informed that the band would continue without him. Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford decided to take a time out of Genesis to work on their projects alternative before seeking a potential new singer and new drummer.

In 1994, Mike Rutherford returned to the studio to work on the fourth album by Mike and The Mechanics , Beggar on a beach of gold . A Paul Carrack and Paul Young were given more creative work and Mechanics The image was a true band in every way. The album's title is based on materialism which they say characterized the 80's. The album was released in March 1995. The first single is called Over My Shoulder and was produced by Mike Rutherford and Christopher Neil, with whom he also wrote other songs on the album. Besides the disc also contained versions of the themes 've really got a hold on me of Smokey Robinson and I believe (When I Fall in Love It Will Be Forever) of Stevie Wonder which Paul Carrack sang who even said he'd always loved: "I remember it well, it was 1972 and I lived in a small room in Camden . I had a small cassette player and bad, and this was one of the few films that had at is very special to me ".. The album ended up having a modest success in Britain , but managed to sell nearly two million copies at munidal. Unfortunately, despite the lower commercial success the single Over my shoulder in Europe, the album was not just commercial recognition, much less than its predecessor.

Having toured Europe to promote Beggar on a beach gold , The Mechanics returned with Hits, a collection of the best songs of his four first album and a new song, a remake of his hit All I need is a miracle sung by Paul Young . Atlantic Records, the label of the band United States, chose not to publish the collection due to weak sales of Word of mouth and Beggar on a beach of go ld, so consequently broke contract with the band (although published later, in 2005, Rhino seal). The Mechanics

again went on tour to promote Europe Hits , and shortly after Rutherford, Carrack and Young took different paths to work on their own projects. Rutherford leg used the time together with Tony Banks hoping to find a new lead singer replacing Phil Collins in Genesis . The choice was Ray Wilson, and he recorded their last studio album Calling All Stations .

In May 1998, members of Genesis , Steve Hackett, Phil Collins , Peter Gabriel, Anthony Phillips and John Silver met Tony Banks and Michael Rutherford in a press conference at Heathrow Airport in England to promote the first set-box of Genesis , Archive 1967-1975 . The box set was released in June of that year and included recordings of rare and unpublished band.

For the box-set, Banks and Rutherford gathered Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett to re-record a new version of the song Carpet Crawlers from The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. This song not part of the box-set, but the compilation published in October 1999, Turn It On Again: The Hits , which reached the Top 5 albums UK, but did not enter the Top 40 United States of , but got to be gold in that country to overcome the sales over 500 thousand copies.

1999 also threw up the publication of the sixth album by Mike and the Mechanics . Mike and The Mechanics (also known as M6 ) meant the return of Paul Carrack and Paul Young on vocals, who also had a more active role in the songwriting process. His first single was called Now That You've gone and had production Brian Rawling, head of the subject Believe of the American singer Cher , considered one of the great songs of that year. Although the album was probably the best of the band's career so far, was not published in U.S. . The band embarked on an extensive tour of Europe , with several sold-out concerts in major venues as the Royal Albert Hall of London .

Unfortunately, the sixth album by Mike and the Mechanics and his tour was overshadowed by the tragedy of the death of singer Paul Young on July 15, 2000, shortly after the end of the tour, of a heart attack in his home in England . Mike Rutherford and Paul Carrack met at a concert in tribute to Paul Young with members of the other side of Paul , Sad Café in the city where he lived in Manchester , before a sold-out crowd.

After the impact of death of Young initially Rutherford and Carrack while the band decided to continue operating, would make no promo tour, but finally decided that they would, as Young wish the group continued without him.

After several months of recording sessions and remixes in the studio, in June 2004 was published, to date, last album Mike and The Mechanics, Rewired in Europe and Asia (in North America it would be in September 2005). On this occasion name Paul Carrack also appeared predominantly in the name of the band, meaning equal role Carrack in the group. This CD presents a special edition on DVD, in which various artists have represented the different video tracks.

Despite the previous decision not to tour without Paul Young , Rutherford and Carrack decided to take a brief tour of Europe to promote the album, including some dates in which they supported to Phil Collins in his First Final Farewell Tour . In March 2005, Live from Shepherds Bush, the first DVD Mike and the Mechanics was published, and he captured images of the band during their tour of 2004, European Tour Rewired. A year later, Paul Carrack announced formally left the band Mike and the Mechanics , ending 20 years of success as fellow Mike Rutherford.

While nobody knows for sure the future of Genesis, the band has left open the possibility of returning to activity. Mike Rutherford continues writing and recording music, but has not released any new studio album since dissolved Mike and the Mechanics . Along with Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford remains one of the most successful artists in solo Genesis world.

regard, Mike declare: "I am currently working on a new album from Mike and the Mechanics . Penas had left parked in this project, but still enjoy writing songs and working with new faces in the band. Paul Carrack is doing solo work, so I had the R & B singer Andrew Roachford . It is a little different, but I enjoy working with him because his soul is noted in the study. "

A new album, The Road , and a new tour, Hit the Road Tour 2011 , were announced in November 2010. The album will be released in April 2011 and it will Andrew Roachford and Tim Howar on vocals, to be followed by a tour of the UK of 22 shows.
